Bad News for Absolute Poker
Whilst it's rarely smart to leave your suppliers unpaid, when those suppliers happen to be in the publicity business there's also the danger that the non-payment will be publicly exposed.

Adding to its woes, Absolute Poker's alleged failure to pay its publicity bill suffered just such a fate when Publicity Guaranteed, which claims to have provided publicity of the good sort to the online poker company but was not fully paid, went public.

Contacting a numerous and wide range of major newspapers, Virginia-based Publicity Guaranteed revealed that it was owed some $43 000 by the Costa Rica based online poker company. And it linked to 37 websites carrying the current high profile allegations of tournament cheating by Absolute Poker staff.

The marketing and publicity company has already obtained a court judgement after launching litigation which claimed that Absolute Poker paid for the first phase of a successful publicity project, but nothing further.

A Publicity Guaranteed executive wrote: "We're just saying we're someone else that got shortchanged by Absolute Poker, and this should be public knowledge."
