Mobile Gambling Grows
In just two short years the global online casino mobile gambling market could grow to a $12 billion industry. Mobile gaming is already one of the fastest growing sectors of the internet gambling industry – and analyst predict that the trend will only continue in the coming years as mobile gambling saturates more markets. Mobile gambling really took off just this year with several prominent online casino mobile gambling operators signing deals with mobile service providers. Spain was one of the first markets to offer players the fun of online casinos from the ease of their mobile devices and PDAs. From there, the industry has quickly spread throughout the UK and into the Far East as well.

Juniper Research, respected market research specialist with no biased interest in the online casino industry, announced predictions for the mobile gambling market. According to the study, by 2010 mobile gaming will be a $12 billion sub industry. And though that prediction may seem high to some, mobile online casinos gambling is still in its infancy stages in actuality and is predicted to continue exponential growth for years.

The United States is another factor that could greatly increase the predicted worth of the global mobile online casino gambling industry. Though the current Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) bans all forms of online casino gambling transactions, including mobile gambling, most in the industry predict that the U.S. will pass neutralizing legislation very soon.

The report also included information on specific areas of the mobile online casino industry with the most predicted growth. Specifically, “mobile lotteries already experienced significant levels of adoption in the Far East” comments the author of the research study.
