There is hardly any more fertile ground to showcase new casino gambling technologies than the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), held each year in Las Vegas. This is precisely the reason why the organizers of the Sixth Annual Gaming and Technology Awards have announced this year’s awards will be presented at a special luncheon as part of the G2E’s Training and Development Institute on opening day, November 17, 2008.

The Gaming and Technology Awards are certainly nothing to scoff at. Representing the casino gaming industry’s top honor for technological innovations, the Gaming and Technology Awards can very easily stand on their own merit. However, by teaming up with G2E, the awards take on a whole new level of importance. In other words, attendance should be the highest it’s ever been.

Global Gaming Business Magazine published the announcement in their most recent publication. Roger Gros, publisher of Global Gaming Business, said the alliance between the two events is a great move. It will be an even greater move for the "Best of Show" winners, who will no doubt be sporting the accolade on the expo floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

With several months to go before the event, nominations are currently being accepted for the Gaming and Technology Awards (until October 3, 2008). These include, Best Consumer-Service Technology, Best Productivity-Enhancement Technology, Best Slot Product and Best Table-Game Product or Innovation. Judges for the awards consist of a panel of notable gaming analysts and researchers.
