Mobile games developer, Real Dice has released the popular Multiplayer Championship Poker game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The game based upon Texas Hold’em allows players to play in either offline or online mode. In the offline mode players can brush up on their poker strategy as it features a detailed strategy guide for players of all levels and you can also practice, play alone or against a choice of 200 AI opponents. By playing online, you are given the option of competing against up to 9 players who could be anywhere in the world. The game comes with live in-game chat and there are ring games, sit ‘n’ go tournaments and multi-table events starting every 15 minutes. The new release links in with Real Dice’s Facebook and desktop versions, so players can compete against Facebook friends from their iPhone. The iTunes store is currently retailing Multiplayer Championship Poker at £5.99. Russ McMahon of Real Dice, said “The expansion of Multiplayer Championship Poker to the iTunes store now allows iPhone and iPod Touch customers to pull up a virtual chair and play Texas Hold’em with the 300,000 users who are already online on a variety of other devices. We’ve developed the game so players from every supported system can play live games together no matter which handset they have. This means that you can login with your iPhone while you’re sitting at the airport, and play with your Blackberry-loving best friend, or take on a complete stranger who’s logged in through Facebook on the web.” The game has won critical acclaim since it has been available to be played on most mobile phones. Smartphone Magazine awarded Multiplayer Championship Poker as ‘Game of the Year’ for 2005, 2006 and 2007. Source:http://www.onlinecasinopress.co.uk/ |
