Advertising Home Poker Games Online Leads To Arrests in San Jose
Poker players are supposed to be clever. Good at calling people's bluff. But one thing that should be avoided at all costs is calling the bluff of the local police.

Two people were arrested on Saturday afternoon after they were ignorant enough to advertise their illegal home poker game over the Internet.

The home game was not particularly large in money terms, which makes the move to advertise even more questionable. Police entered a house located on Lexington Avenue in San Jose on Saturday.

Two people were arrested after authorities found poker tables and about twenty people playing inside the house. Patricia Kathleen McCoy and Cutberto Cardenas were arrested.

McCoy was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Cardenas was charged with fraudulently obtaining money under false pretenses and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The minor charges stem from police finding a thirteen year old girl in the house. The girl was taken into protective custody. The other two were booked and released on bail.

Police performed a background check on the people who lived in the house. The results showed that they were advertising the illegal poker games on the Internet. The average buy in was between $25 to $55.

Police were turned on to the house after neighbors called and complained about the lack of parking on the street, and people coming in and out of the house.
