TitanPoker.com, the largest online poker room for Playtech's iPoker Network, stated that the first four events of the ECOOP have seen higher than expected player numbers drawn by the guaranteed prize pool of $2.5 million.

The first ECOOP event, a no limit Hold'em event staged on November 30 won by Slovenian player ‘majstorex’, saw 1,049 players drive up the total prize pool to $209,800, well above the guaranteed $150,000 pool.

ECOOP’s second event, a $100,000 guaranteed Omaha high-low event staged on December 1 and won by France’s ‘Bsinclair’, attracted 540 players to compete for the $23,000 first prize.

Prizes awarded for the third event of the series totalled $372,750, a figure that again surpassed the guaranteed prize pool. Dutch player ‘Addict1968’ beat 1,490 other players to take home the first prize of over $78,000.

ECOOP's second Omaha event, a pot limit tournament with re-buys won by ‘LuckyPlayerCoolie’, was staged on Monday and saw 672 players participate to increase the payout to $120,200.

TitanPoker.com stated that ECOOP events would continue nightly until the final event on Sunday, which will have a one million dollar guaranteed prize pool.
