| Norway's National Poker Championship Has Been Forced out |
|
The Norwegian government has only proceeded to increasingly come down on land and online casinos poker gambling in the country over the past several months. Between the hard line that the government is towing on enforcing a ban on poker gambling to the police raids, Norwegian poker professionals (and even amateurs for that matter) are forced to leave their country to participate in the 7th annual Norwegian Poker Championship. That is surprising to most of the land and online casinos poker gambling community – Norway has nurtured some of the top players in the world. But despite the fact that the Norwegian government has only just decided to enforce legislation that makes land and online casinos gambling illegal, the NPC must move for participants could face arrests and legal action from the authorities. Entrants into the NPC can expect that the event will still be held in much the same style as previous Championship’s for land and online casinos poker players. There will be a variety of poker games - pot-limit Omaha, no-limit Texas Hold’em and fixed-limit Hold’em – all the event will have buy-ins ranging from GBP 100 to GBP 500. Many land and online casino poker gamblers are expected to make the trek to Nottingham, England for the NPC event. The more than a week-long event takes place from April 28th through May 5th and will be held at the Dusk ‘til Dawn Club. Initial estimations and registrations for the event show that as many as 500 Norwegian online casino and poker gambling will participate in their country’s national event despite the fact that it was forced out of the country.
