Easter means a significant decrease in internet gambling

There aren’t many holidays that mean a significant slow-down in world-wide online casinos gambling and poker, there are afterall only a few international holidays. So which day of the year do internet gamblers take a break from the poker tables? Many might guess Christmas Day, but in fact many online casinos gamblers still head to the poker rooms and internet slots on Christmas. Easter is actually one of the slowest days of the year from internet gambling companies; and this Easter holiday just two-weeks ago was no different – a severe drop-off in online gambling and poker activities for the entire day.

The fact of the matter is though that this means that customer service representatives also get to take a break from the online casinos gambling company in addition to the players on Easter day. Annually the internet gambling companies have reported as much as an 80 percent decrease in the gamblers heading out to the sites. Online casinos really rarely get a break from heavy gambling activity, especially those internet gambling sites with an international market base – then there are few holidays that head-off gamblers across several regions and countries.

A Customer Service Representative for a top online casinos gambling site, Rick Pearson, commented, “We usually send most of our customer service representatives home on Easter, the office becomes like a ghost-town. Easter is a day for us to relax. The hussle[sic] and bussle [sic]of spring break poker action and daily tournaments becomes exhausting.”

Pearson speculated as to the why the gamblers avoid the internet gambling sites on Easter, “Easter Day is actually worse for online casinos than Christmas, very few Christians will play online casino games on this day.” The fact of the matter is, even with the Easter Bunny and finding hidden eggs, Easter is a bit less commercialized than the Christmas holidays, so one could definitely see Pearson’s point.
