A Winning Strategy for Online Poker
Do you play online poker? Are you looking for ways to increase the amount of money you win when you play online poker? I have been playing poker online for the last three years and have to say that I absolutely love it. I have learnt a lot during this period, as the saying goes you can learn a lot from the mistakes that you make, and I now feel that I am a much improved player from where I was back then. My stats also prove this as my winnings are going up and up. In this article I will be writing about how to make money playing online poker.

I tend to start playing poker at about 10pm, this is the time when my house is at its quietest, all of the kids are in bed and all of my tasks have been completed. This is now my time, a time to relax and to make some easy money. It is also a time of the day which I really look forward to during the whole day. I work hard, look after my children, spend some quality time with the wife happy in the knowledge that I will be playing poker later. Playing poker at this time of the day or evening can have its advantages and for me is the perfect time to start playing. This is because quite a few of your opposing poker players are well under the influence of drugs or alcohol by this stage. This may seem quite bizarre but it is actually true. When in this state players lose their discipline and this is when they are easy to win money from.

Online poker is far different from playing a live game. For a start off there is no eye contact or body language hints, this can be a good thing. The game is also far quicker online. I tend to play the cash games and will normally play on two different tables at the same time.

The key to winning is patience. There is no need to play every hand as the hands come thick and fast. Always go for your runs and flushes when the pots are low but when people start to raise the pot too quickly this is when you take your time. Stay on the same tables as you are then able to work out the strengths and weaknesses of your opponents. This may take an hour or two therefore your main financial gains are likely to be in the third hour.

When you start to feel tired take a break, make a drink, go to the toilet or if you think you need to, go to bed.
